Founded in 2018, Skyports is an Advanced Air Mobility company developing and operating landing infrastructure for the electric air taxi revolution, as well as using drones for a variety of business requirements.
Our business is comprised of two entities.
Skyports Drone Services where we use drone technology to enable businesses to develop their logistics, capture key data, and improve operational efficiency. We are active in the rural deliveries, survey, surveillance and maritime verticals.
Skyports Infrastructure where we play a critical role in the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem; designing, building, owning, and operating vertiports that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in and around cities across the world.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, we have an exciting opportunity for a market leader to grow Skyports Drone Services’ (SDS) presence in the Middle East.
You will be the face of SDS in the UAE, securing and executing on existing opportunities, generating new leads, developing and managing relationships with the government and key decision makers and building a team capable of delivering highly ambitious projects.
You will work closely the SDS senior leadership team based in London, as well as with the existing Skyports Infrastructure () team based in the UAE.
Based in Abu Dhabi, the role will involve international travel, especially around Middle East and Europe.

You will:
Source, build and manage commercial opportunities across both the drone delivery and inspection sectors. This may include: offshore energy drone deliveries, medical deliveries, powerline inspection or drone-in-a-box surveillance. Work closely with Skyports’ existing UAE partners based in Abu Dhabi. Build world class operational and technology teams, overseeing effective and efficient day-to-day drone operations. Work closely with Skyports Drone Services’ Functional Heads located in London across: Regulation, Technology, Flight Operations, Safety and Project Management.
Ultimately your success will be measured on how quickly you can get drones flying in the UAE and how quickly you can expand these operations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
Experience growing a company’s presence in a new market – Middle East experience is preferable. Experience working in high-growth companies. Experience working in highly regulated industries. Experience working in B2B sales with long sales cycles. Experience working in aviation and/or drones. Ability to embrace discomfort and navigate ambiguity. This is a new growing industry where not all of the answers are known.
