Job Description
The
Education Associate is a guest facing role which welcomes and interacts with guests of all age. This position is responsible in delivering the important information in the assigned Zoological attractions and/or exhibits.
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for an entire shift; handle and work with animal ambassadors including mammals, birds, Reptiles and some aquatic species. Lift, push and pull 15kg; and work in varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; weekends, and holidays.
Job scope includes:
Proactively interacts to all guests in a friendly and professional manner Delivers the education facts on the assigned attraction/exhibit Maintains theme park’s knowledge to provide updated information to the guests Handles guests concerns and queries, provide appropriate resolution, and available and achievable service recovery as needed Prepares educational materials and maintains its professional appearance Ensures all departmental checklists are consistently completed and informs line manager for any tasks that requires action Fosters a culture of human and animal safety by following all safety policies and practices in accordance with HSE policy and department’s SOPs Promotes products, services and activities available to the guests Completes all required trainings and maintains professional development and competencies Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workplace for designated areas Performs other duties as assigned
To be considered for this role, you will need:
High School Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 1 year of experience in customer service Experience in zoological and/or theme park setting is a plus Outgoing personality Excellent skills in customer/guest interaction Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written Basic knowledge of educational principles and instructional design models Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications
To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the retail department in relation to the company core process: thus directly impacting on the delivery of the experience. The position sells branded merchandise, souvenirs and photo products to guests by using a computerized cash register. Ensures the store is well stocked and clean. Assists guests with queries. Assists and advises guests using variety of selling skills, product knowledge and demonstrating service enhancing behavior. This is a guest facing role which ensures that all guests who visit our leisure facilities enter the parks with ease and are provided with exceptional guest care. The position welcomes guests to the facility and ensures that they are informed about the rides, shows, attractions, facilities, and services, thus enhancing the guest experience. The position is responsible for selling tickets, other products, services, and attractions, directing guests, and responsibly managing cash.
