Our client in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity surveying and estimation activities for all electrical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for new tenders, reviewing tender drawings and specifications, preparing electrical BOQs and quantity take-offs, and handling variation orders for existing projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both electrical estimation and quantity surveying, with strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, cost estimation methods, and tendering processes within the construction industry.

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for new tenders covering all electrical systems.
  • Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and other relevant documentation to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive pricing for electrical works based on tender requirements.
  • Prepare and review electrical Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
  • Apply appropriate cost estimation methods to determine material, labour, and other project-related costs.
  • Handle variation orders for existing projects, including the preparation, evaluation, and submission of cost variations.
  • Review project requirements and identify changes or additional works that may result in variation orders.
  • Ensure estimates and pricing are accurate, commercially competitive, and aligned with project specifications.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records related to tenders, estimates, BOQs, take-offs, and variation orders.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding estimation and quantity surveying requirements.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in both Quantity Surveying and Estimation for all electrical systems.
  • Proven experience preparing estimates for new tenders.
  • Strong experience handling variation orders for existing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation methods.
  • Ability to review tender drawings and specifications and prepare accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction project requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
