Job Description

To lead the engineering activities of utility-scale BESS technologies (alternative chemistries and services) and BESS hybrid solutions in Masdar in line with overall engineering plans and objectives.
BESS hybrid project design, performance and optimization Creative design preparation and oversight of hybrid technology evolvement in the market EPC contractor discussions and negotiations Contribution to stakeholder relations Compliance with standards and forms Preparation of relevant updates and reports Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science Master’s Degree related in electrical/mechanical/chemical engineering or related field

Additional Information

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in BESS technologies and at least 3 years of experience in leading the technical stream of large scale BESS hybrid projects or equivalent experience. Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously Proficient in Hybrid simulation tool, and exposure to one of the following hybrid power plants simulation tools EPC technical annex preparation Microsoft Office, especially Excel Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems and grid energy management systems Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
