Role Overview:
Flat6Labs is seeking a highly skilled Finance Associate who will be based in UAE. As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive financial analysis, generating financial reports, and championing the budgeting and forecasting initiatives to ensure the company's financial status stays on track, in addition to assisting in fund administration processes. Also, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial insights, managing investor relations, and supporting fund administration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgets, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.
Fund Administration & Investor Relations Management:
- Preparing capital account statements, fund performance KPIs, balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Assist in managing investor relations activities, including communicating with investors, providing regular updates on the fund, and addressing investor inquiries.
- Assist in streamlining capital calls and plan for efficient deployment.
- Assist in the preparation of fund reporting and financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support fund administration processes, including fund accounting, cash flow management, and expense tracking.
- Liaise with all stakeholders involved in the fund administration processes including but not limited to LPs, audits, AML regulators…etc
- Working with fund administrators and other stakeholders, creating capital calls, and fund notices, finalizing net asset value calculations, and preparing periodic financial reporting.
- Manage relationships, collect, organize, and help analyze reporting data from startups, and LPs to ensure smooth reporting and transactions
Financial Process Optimization and Risk Management:
- Continuously review and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
- Assess financial risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor and report on key financial risk indicators.
- Assist in the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
- Assist with all reporting and accounting processes and policies for all operating units in the company;
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with departments across the company to gather financial information and provide insights.
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Coordinate and assist other accounting and finance personnel in the organization
- Prepare supporting work papers for financial statements, portfolio schedules, and capital account allocations.
