About the job Financial Controller
Our client is a holding company in the UAE that holds franchises for multiple global brands of hotels, a real estate company, and other businesses under the group.
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team in Ajman, UAE.
The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. Reporting directly to the Managing Director/CFO, this position requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of community, facility, lease, and property management. A keen commercial acumen is essential to drive strategic financial decisions and optimize business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk effectively.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analyses.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance metrics.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Present financial information to stakeholders, including senior management and board members.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
- Implement controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Community and Property Management:
- Leverage expertise in community, facility, lease, and property management to support financial decision-making.
- Assess and manage financial implications of property acquisitions, leases, and sales.
- Ensure alignment of financial strategies with property management objectives.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Provide leadership and guidance to finance and accounting teams.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment conducive to achieving financial goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive growth initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, ideally within real estate or property management sectors.
- Strong understanding of community, facility, lease, and property management principles.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business outcomes.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
