We are looking for a Full Stack Data Engineer Intern to join the Big Data Engineering function at dubizzle and Bayut in Dubai, UAE. You will be extracting data from publicly available internet websites and storing it in a structured format for analysis and market intelligence leveraging the existing Big Data infrastructure.


You will have the opportunity to work in a modern cloud-based data warehousing environment alongside learning from the best team of diverse and talented engineers in the region gaining invaluable experience.


In this role, you will:


  • Maintain the existing web crawlers
  • Develop new web crawlers and related functionality (pipelines, database)
  • Wrangle, cleanse and transform huge amount of semi-structured and structured data
  • Assist in analysis related to the competitive data from the crawlers
  • Assist in building dashboards with the collected competitive data
  • Create and Maintain web interfaces for data mapping
  • Maintain and create new Retool interfaces
