Job Description

Role: Graduate Legal Intern


Reporting Line: Business Unit Head


Requirements:


  • Must be detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship development and people skills.
  • Highly flexible with a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and progress.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of legal principles and practices.

Primary Job Purpose:


The Graduate Legal Intern will work closely with the legal team to gain practical experience in the legal field and contribute to ongoing legal projects and tasks.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assist legal team members in executing assigned legal tasks and projects.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support legal decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and present legal reports, presentations, and other deliverables as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Support administrative tasks, including legal document review, data entry, filing, and documentation.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating departmental events, meetings, or workshops.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal process improvements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, legal updates, and best practices.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Education & Certificate:


  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in law or a related field.
  • Enrolment in or completion of a graduate-level legal program (J.D., LL.M., or equivalent).
  • Previous internship or work experience in a legal setting (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
