Job Purpose:
The Global Financial Planning & Analysis for the Digital Technology reports to the Global CFO Digital.
The purpose of the role is to lead DP World strategic financial planning and reporting (long and short term). This will involve leading the development and implementation of budgeting and reporting tools (along with associated KPIs) for the various capabilities / technologies / service offerings which are aligned with DP World’s global digital strategy. This reporting will provide granular insight into the financial performance of DP World business and technology on a consistent, global basis and will be a critical enabler of effective decision making by the executive leadership team (regional and global) on matters relating to Digital Technology and Group Technology. Successful delivery in this area is critical due to the cross-regional nature of DP World’s technology strategy.
Building on this budgeting and reporting, the role will also be responsible for leading ad hoc reviews of business unit performance where issues are identified, along with recommendations (working with commercial and operational teams) of how performance can be turned around.
The role will closely collaborate with Group Finance to provide consistent leadership and guidance to regional finance teams to ensure robust and timely provision of financial information in line with DP World group finance policies.
The role will focus on management reporting, and will not extend to statutory reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead the design and development of the management financial reporting tools for DP World’s global technology business from the situation today until the end stage and the road how to get to the end stage, using the technology at hand (Oracle/SAP) Leading the delivery of regular (monthly) management financial reporting for Digital Technology and Group Technology and ensuring it reflects and is aligned to the company’s strategy and the designed framework is easily understandable / operates on like for like principles / definitions. Lead the development and roll out of the budgeting and forecasting processes for global technology and ensure close coordination with Group Finance to ensure it meets their requirements. Lead (alongside Group Finance) in designing the SG&A / Overhead budgeting, forecasting, monthly analysing reporting of Group Technology to ensure a consistent approach across DP World capabilities (Logistics, P&T, Marine etc) Drive process and system improvements across the finance organization, including design and implementation of key controls over financial reporting. Lead the timely and insightful reporting of Technology across the group, globally Lead the Build business cases and analysis for strategic initiatives within Group Technology that allow leaders to make sound decisions and drive positive outcomes for the company Ensure that FP&A is driving a high level of partnership both at the senior leadership team within the technology, regional leadership as well as Group Finance to aid in bringing deep visibility into the business and enable decision making. Ensure capability plans are in compliance with corporate policies and strategies and design / develop, implement or recommend policies and procedures for the finance function. Assist with ad hoc strategy and operational projects as required Promote and demonstrates positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s values and culture Ensure that the highest levels of safety are applied in all activities. Understand and adheres to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Experience in a management function within the accounting & finance field Experience with scaling business processes and operating in environments that have achieved significant scale ($1B+ revenue). Experience working in a high growth technology company preferred. Demonstrated success in helping build an integrated finance function with nationwide or global reach in addition to being comfortable operating at both ends of spectrum: “rolling sleeves up” and leading. Excels at interacting with business leaders internally and externally while being able to translate financial results to all audiences and gain cooperation through discussion, influence and persuasion
