The InterContinental Hotels Group® properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. A little taste of your day-to-day


  • Assists in sorting hotel and guest linen for washing
  • Ensures timely loading and unloading of machines
  • Assists in transferring linen and clothes between machines
  • Maintains proper temperature, pressure, and water level required as per the texture of the textile
  • Ensures machines and areas are kept free of lint and in proper order
  • Ensures general cleanliness of the entire laundry department
  • Attends all staff training meetings as directed by the superiors
  • Reports health or safety hazards to the Laundry Manager
  • Receives, sorts, counts, stores, and issues all F&B and room linen according to established procedures
  • Assists in inventory taking
  • Reports damages and loss of linen to supervisor and assists in repairing linen
  • Issue guests and cleaning supplies according to established procedures
  • Maintains linen room and equipment in proper state of cleanliness and repair
  • Maintains records of new linen, discard, and issues
  • Ensures timely pressing of all items
  • Sorts hotel and guest linen for washing and pressing
  • Ensures all stains are removed, testing the chemicals before applying on the fabric, else inform the supervisor
  • Ensures all garments being pressed are in proper condition, else inform the supervisor, for suitable action to be taken
  • Ensure broken zippers, missing buttons are replaced, and mending is done if necessary
  • Assist in the linen room duties as appropriate
  • Advises superior of damages and loss of linen/uniform on regular basis
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations
  • Prepares guest pressing and dry cleaning as requested in accordance with the hotel’s presentation standard
  • Spots and dry cleans all uniforms
  • Uses all dry-cleaning equipment
  • Uses spotting boards
  • Attends pre-coating and slugging
  • Sort articles for pressing into categories and performs pressing function including:
    • Using pressing equipment
    • Maintain chemical supplies
    • Check guest items on receipt for damage and record any findings
  • Maintains dry cleaning equipment in good condition and ensures regular servicing
  • Maintains working area and equipment in proper state of cleanliness and repair
  • Reports guest complaints to superior immediately
  • Complies with Hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policies and adheres to conduct personal grooming and hygiene standards
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned

  • Good English Communication skills (speaking/reading/understanding/writing) 
  • Knowledge about how to operate different kinds of machines and chemicals
  • Ensures that your work quality meets the standards required and completes tasks in a timely and thorough manner with minimum supervision
  • Recognises different garments and has knowledge of how each one of them should be treated
