As Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will design, develop and implement quality engineering practices and processes for a teams within an agile release train in accordance with quality standards and best practice guidelines. Ensure adoption of modern delivery practices for quality products and services built using world class engineering practices



In this role, you will:



  • Work closely with project members, technical product owners, architects and software engineers to understand the complete context of deliveries, translate complex functional and non-functional requirements in robust end to end tests that exercise the business process.
  • Liaise with other release train teams to manage the testing of cross dependencies.
  • Ensure Test Tools are configured correctly and accurately to support the collection of metrics for program and enterprise-wide dashboards.
  • Support and guide Software Engineers to write and maintain automated functional tests through continuous integration.
  • Implement, maintain and adapt automation frameworks. Test harnesses to make end to end tests robust.
  • Ensure Quality Gate requirements are understood by the team and met.
  • Support the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer with the coordination of major delivery initiatives across multiple domains and environments, ensuring no customer or business impact.
  • Support the team in their development, training and understanding of technologies and processes.
Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the requirements below:



  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering roles involving the building of complex, scalable and large software solutions in digital, data or enterprise domain.
  • Lead and mentor QA engineers; establish automation and coding best practices and own and drive quality across the SDLC (shift-left & shift-right practices).
  • Strong experience in automation frameworks and continuous testing implementation
  • Technical Experience in:
  • Test Automation: Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Rest Assured
  • Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SpringBoot
  • CI/CD: GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
  • Cloud & Containers: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
  • API & Performance Testing: Postman, JMeter, k6
  • AI/GenAI: LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, AI-assisted testing platforms
  • Observability: Grafana, Dynatrace
  • Highly experienced with developing automation frameworks from scratch built for UI and API testing and integration with CI pipelines.
  • Experience using CI tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
  • Strong expertise with context driven and exploratory testing with practical experience of using a number of testing heuristics.
