We are currently recruiting for a Manager - Facility Responsible Owner Representative - TSD for our trusted client to be based out of their office in Dubai.
Job Purpose:
The Responsibility the Facility Responsible Owner Representative is to own and maintain the Building Fire Safety Plan (Manual) on behalf of a Facility Responsible Owner, ensuring it meets AFS & UAE Fire Code requirements, Understand facility fire corrective actions and support the business to plan and address corrective actions accordingly.
• As a Facility Responsible Owners Representative should have a strong understanding of fire codes, regulations, and standards,
including NFPA, IBC, and UAE Fire Code
• Facility Responsible Owner Representative will ensure the corrective action modifications are implemented as per AFS and code
requirements.
• Organise and ensure completion of audits and inspections as per the requirements of the building fire safety plan.
• Stay updated on changes in fire safety regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure continuous compliance.
• Coordinate with AFS on reviewing Fire alarm, firefighting, and fire compartmentation zoning to ensure coherence between zones.
• Collaborate closely with the project team on facility inspections and corrective actions of varying priority levels (Immediate, high,
medium, and low), ensuring that necessary modifications to achieve code compliance are committed to and delivered within
agreed-upon timelines.
• Communicate with third-party service partners, tenants, and operators of buildings to ensure their understanding of
responsibilities and obligations outlined in the Building Fire Safety Manual
• Ability to collaborate with building management and fire department officials (AFS) to address any safety concerns during andafter the project delivery.
• Collaborate with AFS to conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards within the terminal
environment.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood of fire incidents.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to address identified risks and implement necessary preventive measures.
• Coordinate with AFS and ensure the evacuation plans are updated with tenants, concessionaries, and retail outlets, and suggest
improvements.
• Develop and deliver fire safety training programs for terminal staff, contractors, and tenants.
• Provide ongoing education and awareness initiatives to promote a culture of fire safety throughout the organization.
• Keep personnel informed about fire safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency protocols.
