• Overriding authority with respect to safety and pollution prevention.
• Authority for action in the interest of the passengers, crew, vessel and the environment.
• Implement the ISPS code onboard the ship as per Company Ship Security Plan.
• ISPS & ISM codes and its requirements.
• Ensure the vessels class and statutory certification is up to date.
• Ensure and implement voyage planning and safety of navigation

Qualifications:

• A min. qualification required is Class 1 master FG COC II/2 with No limitations.
• Minimum of 3-4 years experience as master Offshore.
• Good English communication skills.
• Experienced in towing and anchor handling related to pipe laying operations.
• Experienced in handling heavy mooring anchors of 50-70 Metric tons gravity block type.
• Experienced in working in the Arabian Gulf Offshore Oilfield.
• Good understanding of safe practices related to anchor handling / towing operations.
