About Dubai Foundation for Women and Children:


   The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children is the first authorized non-profit shelter and humanitarian care in the United Arab Emirates to care for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and victims of human trafficking. It was established in late 2007 in order to provide victims with immediate shelter, protection and support services, in accordance with international human rights conventions.



  • Manage and ensure the submission of the yearly IT Network objectives to the IT Director in consultation with the subordinates
  • Develop technical SLAs for the various infrastructure/-networking implementations
  • Ensure achievement of the quality objectives as set forth by DFWAC
  • Manage the operational administration of the foundation
  • Support IT Director in delivering the IT environment for the building
  • Provide helpdesk support and troubleshooting at first line
  • Ensure users of the facilities receive a professional and proactive response at all times
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendors
  • Configuring network switches and troubleshooting and testing copper and fiber cabling
  • Understand and ensure data center redundancy requirements
  • Support day to day operations
  • Ensure achievement of targeted results in each key performance areas as outlined in the plan
  • Assist the IT Director in the development of the foundation’s IT strategies, policies, standards and plans.
  • Ensure efficient, courteous and timely service to all employee’ requests and inquiries
  • Work closely with IT department staff to recommend relevant training requirements to the Director
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering/IT
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the IT domain with at least 4 years work experience in an IT support role
