The Sr Manager, Marketing plays a critical role in maximizing Amazon’s app penetration and engaging customers to shop via advertising on Social media. The role is complex in nature, and involves managing a wide-ranging nature of programmatic traffic channels, devising optimal portfolio strategies, aggregating and synthesizing data/ metrics driving long-term growth. The role demands influencing product roadmap with local and worldwide teams to drive prioritization for the MENA region.
The role will be responsible for leading app investment and social investment portfolio strategy by building new programs and judiciously optimizing existing channels/ programs to drive efficient growth. The leader is expected to work with WW and local leadership to develop, influence and implement business solutions that cater to scaling app and social penetration. Key output goals for this role are – App Visitor and Customer growth and Cost optimization to operate within efficiency guardrails.
To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable creating, testing and executing marketing programs in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment with strong stakeholder management to lead and influence. You will extensive dive deep skills to provide insights by marrying multiple sources of data that would qualify business impact and budget allocation for the program. The position reports to Head of Traffic – Marketing and as a part of the MENA Traffic Team you will play an instrumental role as we seek to acquire new mobile customers and social media on Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
As the Sr. Manager Paid app and Social ads, your key responsibilities will include:
• Lead formulation of Paid App Marketing/ Social ads strategies for MENA, including identifying key target customer segments, competitive environment, our program’s strengths and areas to invest for future innovations
• Manage app marketing budget and portfolio strategy to deliver target new app visitors, customers; continuously test new partners, campaign types to increase reach and efficiency of the paid app programs
• Demonstrate ability to think big, innovate to drive growth and improve measurement capabilities on app and social ads
• Deliver results at the tactical level (managing project execution, testing ideas, creating campaigns/offers, analyzing data, solving problems, optimizing and scale marketing programs)
• Provide actionable insights on app marketing KPIs and performance reporting via weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews
• Collaborate with other functional teams to identify and execute new app and social media initiatives
• Own and influence product enhancements with local/ WW tech teams to improve customer experience
• Engage with WW counterparts to establish a unified Amazon vision for paid app marketing and social ads, benchmark program effectiveness and implement best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of marketing/ product experience in ecommerce
• Deep knowledge and experience in app marketing and measurement
• Passion for quantitative/qualitative analysis, and ability to turn analysis into actionable plans
• Demonstrated skills in effectively managing complex processes with multiple business owners
• Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams
• Strong verbal and business writing skills with extreme attention to detail for reviews and plans
• Tenacity and sense of urgency; ability to make things happen quickly with large, less nimble partners and/or teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of experience in marketing/ product roles in e-commerce.
• Master’s degree or equivalent
• Familiarity with SQL, HTML, and general office software

- 7+ years of years’ experience in Business Development, Partnership or B2B customer-facing roles in the digital and/or e-commerce space
- Demonstrated ability to source, launch and expand complex partnerships
- Strong analytical background and attention to detail with ability to use data to measure performance and determine improvements
- Proven marketing and communication skills
- Proven project management skills
- Clear evidence of managing and motivating a team, both direct and indirect reports. Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills, with proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results.
- University degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or any other related field of study.
- Native Arabic speaker
- Masters’ degree
