JOB TITLE: Pipeline Designer - Alignment Sheets (Oil & Gas Upstream Operations)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Designer specializing in alignment sheets for our Oil & Gas Upstream Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed alignment sheets for pipeline projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. This role requires strong technical proficiency in pipeline design software, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Alignment Sheet Development: Develop detailed alignment sheets for pipeline projects, incorporating all necessary information such as pipeline routes, land boundaries, environmental features, and regulatory requirements.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze relevant data including survey reports, topographic maps, aerial imagery, and geological surveys to inform alignment sheet development.
• Pipeline Route Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize pipeline routes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure alignment sheets comply with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineers, surveyors, environmental specialists, and regulatory authorities to gather necessary inputs and approvals for alignment sheet development.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of alignment sheets, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of alignment sheet development processes, methodologies, and revisions.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding alignment sheet requirements and specifications.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in pipeline design technology, tools, and best practices, and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in pipeline design, with a focus on alignment sheet development for Oil & Gas Upstream Operations.
• Proficiency in pipeline design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D,PDS MicroStation, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of surveying techniques, geospatial data analysis, and cartographic principles.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, DOT).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
