HSBC Commercial Banking serves millions of businesses ranging from small, to large corporates, providing commercial customers with a full range of banking services including Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF), RMB solutions, multi-currency business accounts, payments and cash management, and wealth management and insurance, as well as a comprehensive range of financing solutions. Transaction Risk Management (TRM) is an integral risk control and management team within GTRF. Objective of TRM is to provide effective oversight on portfolio for product risk that emerges from solutions provided to working capital financing requirement. TRM manages such risk by proactively reviewing accounts /structures, evaluate transactional level risks as well frequently conducting portfolio reviews.We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our TRM team within Commercial Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:• Drive data-oriented risk management within Transaction Risk Management including buyer analysis, driving risk-based decision making, setting up models to flag trends, identification of high-risk customers, set up monitoring dashboard to identify and manage concentration risks etc. • Engage with risk management professionals to facilitate streamlining of processes that are highly be-spoke and manual including implementing data-oriented controls and automation. • Optimize data and information exchange with other risk teams including data analytics teams in line of business, wholesale banking control offices and other risk functions such as fraud. • Work closely with product and business management teams to streamline various reporting for consistent accurate and representative data representations.• Participate and support team lead in implementing digital initiatives including testing and training of systems and modules. • Support branches to proactively provide information centrally from region. • Participate in local, regional, global initiatives and projects as assigned from time to time.
