Key Accountabilities:-


  • Lead and be responsible for the successful delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects involving HV, MV, LV, ELV systems Dry utilities, Utility corridors and Substation design, including production of technical reports, written calculations, design briefs, specifications, drawings, schedules, contract documentation and the like.
  • Accountable & Responsible for ensuring technical quality, coordination, integrity, cost effectiveness, and profitability of designs produced.
  • Performing electrical engineering services such as:
  • participating in relevant meetings,
  • preparing progress reports,
  • ensuring the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes,
  • assisting, and advising during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders.
  • Preparing and reviewing the production of deliverables such as: drawings, specifications, scopes of work, calculations, technical reports, datasheets, tender documentation, requisitions, estimates, budgets, schedules, and technical queries.
  • Conducting appropriate studies/optioneering of solutions, analyses, and recommendation of suitable actions.
  • Undertaking and/or reviewing protection coordination, arc flash hazard assessments and defining mitigating solutions.
  • Undertaking tender bid evaluations.
  • Providing input and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Reviewing vendor documentation and checking interfaces within a brownfield infrastructure project.
  • Preparing documentation for and participating in project design reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and Safety in Design Workshops as required.
  • Preparing or assisting in the preparation of project documentation such as budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and reports.
  • Interfacing with other members of the design and management team on multiple discipline projects including with the Global Delivery Centres when required.
  • Leading the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Following design guidelines, standards, and procedures to effectively execute assigned work.
  • Preparing and adhering to assigned budgets and schedules, integrate team efforts, review work, set priorities, identify, and resolve issues in a timely manner and communicate status to the Project Manager.
  • Preparing technical and commercial proposals.
  • Technical supervision of project designated junior Engineers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.
  • Mentoring junior members of staff and assisttopromotecareerdevelopmentwithinthegroup.
  • Checking compliance with QA/Safety/Environment goals.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Worley Quality Management System.
  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety and implementing safe working practices.
  • HSE – Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Qualifications:-
  • A relevant Bachelor’s (BEng) from an accredited university recognised in Dubai (necessary)

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (MEng) desirable

  • Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership preferable

  • Registered With Dubai Municipality & DEWA

  • Registered with Society of Engineers (Dubai)

Experience:
Relevant experience design experience in a wide range of industrial infrastructure projects.
