About the job Project Manager- Delivery Management
Job Purpose:
- To assist in the management of development projects, taking responsibility for sections, phases or overall end-to-end service delivery.
- To act as the key, day to day project interface, on site with contractors and consultants.
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Inputting the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the project objectives.
- Assisting with the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
- Assist in the management of the design process from Vision to IFC ensuring the design is delivered to the required brief and that the budgets are being maintained.
- Undertake and participate in planned Value Engineering options on all projects to ensure the best value is achieved.
- Assist in the preparation of consultant lists
- Assist in the preparation of contractor lists
- Assist in the planning for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project
- Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed delivery strategy
- Advising upon the procurement of resources
- Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team or sections of a major project as directed by the Project Director or Snr Project Manager.
- Managing the change control process with the Engineer and architect of record.
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
- Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports
- Taking a leading role in interfacing with project stakeholders, at all project stages
- Preparing and presenting projects through stage gate approval process in coordination with all internal departments and the project consultants
- Manage the Quality assurance of physical works on site ensuring it meets industry standards and project requirements.
- Ensure the project follows a defined QNQC system and KPis for such are enforced
- Manage the interface between construction and asset management to ensure smooth and orderly transition of assets from contractor to operator
- Actively manage the defects liability period ensuring all issues are dealt with immediately.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Recognized qualification in a construction related activity such as Civil engineering, Construction management, Quantity and Building surveying, architecture or Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
- Member of a recognized professional body such as RIBA, CIOB, RICS ARB or equivalent.
