    Job Description


    • Responsible for the planning, co-ordination and execution of the recruitment and selection process
    • Work closely and effectively with the Project and Programme Managers to define recruitment requirements and agree on recruitment plans and strategies including sourcing positions up to Middle Management
    • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
    • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
    • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
    • Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers, etc.
    • Post “open positions” to online recruiting sites and newspapers, mail job announcements to organizations/contacts by electronic & hard copy methods for approval from the Director of Human Resources & Administration
    • Proof reading of all job postings before going out to print
    • Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media etc.
    • Administer recruitment budget and monitor expenditure and ensure compliance and report to the Director of Human Resources & Administration on variances regularly
    • Collect and screen resumes, select potential candidates and provide short list of approved candidates to Supervisors for interview and with technical experts if need be
    • Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
    • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
    • Provide analytical and well documented reports to the rest of the team
    • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
    • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
    • Ensure consistency in process including establishment of interview panels, collection of forms, check and maintenance of documentation and references
    • Interview applicants for middle management administrative positions, complete assessments and technical tests and make recommendations to Supervisor about employee appointments
    • Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional, statistical, and testing standards, recommending revision as needed
    • Perform reference and background checks on applicants and conduct orientation sessions
    • Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, i.e. from internet online recruiting sources
    • Manage day to day relationships with recruitment agencies/third parties as appropriate
    • Develop test questions, case studies and rating standards within established selection procedures and guidelines (e.g. supplemental questionnaires, oral exam questions and rating dimensions) subject to final review
    • Meet with applicants to discuss test preparation and communicate decision vis a vis interview results
    • Negotiate salaries with candidates based on available salary scale criteria.
    • Arrange travel and lodging for out of town applicants, where applicable Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a recruitment database
    • Oversee the development of a recruitment strategy which is in line to the expansion of the various projects
    • Participate in the development of any related recruitment policies and procedures
    • Serve as the Human Resources Division representative on committees and task forces
    • Prepare relevant reports as required by management
    • Work in accordance with yearly set out deadlines on HR Work plan, and update regular progress and initiate recommendations for appropriate measure to address underlying problems or issues, including but not limited to, suggestions on policy clarification or development, appropriate training or other.

    • Organized and detail-oriented.
    • Have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must be able to work well independently but must also work as part of a team.
    • Ability to effectively interpret body language Ability to work under pressure
    • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, stress etc.)
    • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc.)
    • Very good listening skills
    • High follow up and organizational skills
    • Ability to organize assessment centers (in tray activities, work samples, psychometric and IQ/EQ tests etc.)
    • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and CMS
    • Strong decision making skills
    • Computer and Internet proficiency
    • Presentable and courteous
    • High integrity, and respect others
    • To have knowledge in bulk recruitment of blue collar workers.
    • Should be prepared to travel outside UAE for recruitment.
    • Should have the knowledge of visa formalities (Employment and Visit) and follow-up of the same with the PRO as well as the recruiting agency.
    • Should know the legal aspects of recruitment and the UAE labor law.
    • Should be well-versed in psychometric test for different levels of environment.
    • Should have basic knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and First Aide training.
    • Should be proficient in preparing job profile for various categories of employees.
    • Should be proficient in head hunting.
    • Should be capable of multi-tasking within the HR department for all related HR activities including Payroll.
    • Should be capable of handling existing office admin works.
    • Should be able to maintain documentation of performance appraisals, training and development of all existing employees.
    • Should be involved in reducing the attrition rate of employees within the company.
