Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of Naphtha Distillation Units, Naphtha Hydrotreaters, and other hydrocarbon processing units.
- Manage pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, shutdown, and stabilization of Naphtha and other chemical/refinery units.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize process parameters, product quality, and overall yield.
- Drive process troubleshooting, operational improvements, and root cause analysis (RCA) for all refinery streams.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop shift engineers, operators, and process teams, ensuring high performance and succession planning.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards, GMP, and company policies, fostering a safety-first culture.
- Participate in plant revamps, modifications, turnarounds, and maintenance planning.
- Oversee tank farm and port operations for Naphtha and other chemicals, including safe handling, loading/unloading, and inventory management.
- Prepare, maintain, and enforce SOPs, operating manuals, production reports, and audit documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of experience in refinery operations, specifically Naphtha Distillation Units, Naphtha Hydrotreaters, and other hydrocarbon or chemical units.
- Strong expertise in pre-commissioning, commissioning, stabilization, and process optimization of refinery streams.
- Hands-on experience with DCS/PLC control systems (Yokogawa, Foxboro, Honeywell, etc.).
- Proven track record in process troubleshooting, operational excellence, and yield optimization.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams in a high-pressure refinery environment.
- Knowledge of HSE standards, incident investigation, and GMP practices.
- Exposure to Naphtha and chemical tank farm/terminal operations is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering.
