    Our client, a reputable hospital in Dubai is currently seeking to recruit a RISPACS AdministratorBrief Description RISPACS SYSTEM ADMINSTRATORThe System Administrator is responsible for the operational administration and network management of all PACS Radiology servers, Workstations and Radiology Information System (RIS)RIS Duties To manage and trouble shoot Siemens Syngo studio RIS application To ensure that the interfaces with HIS system (Meditech) works fine To liaise with the Radiologists, technicians and vendor for resolving the issues To ensure that all modalities interfaces are working fine at all the times To have good knowledge of interfacing as and when new modalities are bought and interfacedPACS duties 1) Daily System Monitoringa) Daily monitoring of scheduled jobs, archival studies, storage levelb) Daily monitoring of Windows PACS Server Event Log and resolution of unknown errors as appropriatec) Monitoring server and workstation hardware at all locations, including scanners and printers. Notifying the Vendor of any problems and working collaboratively to solve those problemsd) Keeping detailed trouble ticket reports in Help Desk database system 2) Storage Management Management of Storage Area Network usage (LUN) and replication to Disaster Recover Site (if exists) 3) User Managementa) AddingChangingDeleting Users in Active Directoryi) Assigning users into appropriate user groupsii) Granting appropriate permissionsiii) Changing user's profiles, deleting usersiv) Maintaining appropriate documentation for all Active Directory user Management functions b) AddingChangingDeleting Users on PACS, includingi) Adding new users to PACS databaseii) Putting new users into appropriate user groupsiii) Granting appropriate database privilegesiv) Changing user profilesv) Deleting usersvi) Maintaining appropriate documentation for all PACS users management functions4) Study Monitoring and Patient Information Management(RIS)a) Monitoring and correcting mismatched studiesb) Correcting studiesi) When images are in the wrong studyii) When study belongs in the wrong patientiii) When patient mergeiv) Study re-allocation, orv) Image re-allocation is requiredc) Correcting study using Database Tools i) When patient information is wrongii) For creating new patientsiii) Changing patient informationd) Notifying Vendor Service when mismatch study can not be resolved, Database corruption, or down system 5) Training a) Providing User Training, including i) Planning and coordinating training (personnel, site, equipment, materials) with Vendor training personnel, upon System purchase and during software upgradesii) Training additional new users and providing refresher training for all users as needediii) Participating in System Administrator and QC training provide by Vendoriv) Remaining current in new versions and techniques.v) Training users to print film (if required), produce CDDVD, scandigitize films6) Quality Control and Performance Monitoringa) Participating in Advance Vendor Trainingb) Developing, implementing and maintaining Quality Control program to assure effective functioning and maintenance of the PACS Systemc) Participating in and developing information for the organization's performance indicatorsquality assurance programs, including providing information to Radiology Management, Information Systems, and the others as required.7) System Configuration Changes and Modificationsa) Notifying and coordinating installations with Vendor personnel when adding new devices (purchased workstations, servers, archives etc. supplied by Vendor)b) Moving or removing Vendor supplied hardwarec) Adding new purchased workstation licenses, database license, DICOM license, etcd)
