Ensure the achievement of sales and gross margin targets as set out in the business plan, by constantly monitoring all market segments, monitoring sales staff, and taking timely action in terms of pricing policy or promotion campaigns. Report to Divisional Manager Sales on achievement against targets in a regular and timely fashion, and keep him informed on tactical action being taken in different markets/segments.
Determine the feasibility of adding new showrooms/ dealers/ brands/ and entering new markets in order to achieve / surpass targets.
Develop and recommend strategies to Divisional Manager Sales for entering and growing new export markets, increasing showroom sales and enhancing distribution capability. Acquire inputs from sales staff in showrooms, branches and overseas markets.
Identify, review and appoint new dealers and distributors. Conduct an annual review of dealer performance in order to renew/cancel contracts or agreements.
Review and finalize pricing from Divisional Manager Sales. Monitor adherence to pricing policy by all sales staff. Approve discounts to strategic and bulk customers within policy guidelines.
Ensure receivables are within acceptable limits by reviewing and monitoring the size and quality of the debtors. Monitor the collection of out standings and ensure collection targets are met.
Liase and coordinate with the Marketing Services Department on brand management, promotion campaigns, acquisition and analysis of competitive information, market research etc. Work jointly with them to design dealer and consumer campaigns, develop brand strategies and monitor brand performance.
Coordinate with the Purchase Department on procurement and stock availability; provide reliable and timely sales forecasts so that the supply chain can be managed well.
Provide feedback to and coordinate with the Technical Department on features of competitive products, consumer feedback on the company’s products and development of new products and features. Active participation at the decision level to finalize the model/product.
Responsible for the overall management of showroom, dealers and major customers. Ensure that sales staff is motivated and productive. Design and implement appropriate sales incentive schemes to motivate sales teams.
Responsible for the work allocation & performance evaluation of staff in the Branch.
Identify the training and development needs of all staff in the sales department and coordinate with HR and Administration department to translate into programmes.
Should have experience of 7-10 years in Sales and Marketing in a related industry i.e. consumer electronics of which 3 years should have been as Asst Manager Sales.
Previous work experience in the UAE/GCC would be strongly preferred. Exposure to other international markets would also be an advantage.
Effective interpersonal, influencing and communicating skills - Good communication skills in English and some knowledge of Arabic would be ideal.
Leadership and team management skills – ability to motivate and enthuse others and strong selling skills are a pre-requisite.
