Ghobash Trading & Investment (GTI) is actively engaged in multi-asset class investment activities across various geographies. These activities are carried out by a highly qualified and experienced in-house team of investment professionals. The team uses an ‘Asset Allocation Matrix’ to realize risk adjusted returns on invested capital over a long-term period.


The Company’s investment activities include direct investments in startups, taking stakes in established businesses, acquisitions of business enterprises and setting-up new businesses through collaborative joint venture route.


GTI is also active in private financial investments, including private equity and debt, venture capital, real estate, and publicly listed financial investments.



Job Description

This role involves working closely with senior management to evaluate and execute investment opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, and drive growth across our diverse portfolio of companies.


This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities through comprehensive research and analysis. The Senior Associate will be responsible for conducting in-depth market studies to pinpoint potential investment prospects and merger and acquisition (M&A) targets, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and forward-thinking in its strategic approach.


This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills to drive growth and operational efficiency.


  • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency across the portfolio.
     
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities and M&A targets.
     
  • Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis for prospective investments and acquisitions.
     
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct due diligence, negotiate terms, and facilitate the integration of acquired entities.
     
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external advisors, investment banks, and industry experts to stay informed of market trends and opportunities.
     
  • Prepare and present investment recommendations and strategic proposals to senior management and stakeholders.
     
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
     
  • Help in developing templates for reports and documentation pertinent to the role.

Qualifications
  • BA in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing cross-functional projects.


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.


  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.



Additional Information
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
     
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, financial analysis, and executing M&A transactions.
