Job Specific Knowledge
· Experienced with British, European and International standards and other construction practices, such as PIANC.
· Experienced in a consulting engineering environment over the whole lifecycle of a project including concept, FEED and Detailed Design.
· Experience in the design of a range of marine structures such as different types of quay walls, jetties, dolphins, sea water intakes/outfalls and pumping stations.
· Sound understanding of soil structure interaction.
· Knowledge of the design of coastal structures such as breakwaters and revetments.
· Understanding of the different types of coastal modelling and the design of approach channels.
· Knowledge of seismic design.
· Knowledge of the design of back of port facilities such as crane beams, paving and utilities.
· Experienced in dealing with a variety of clients including developers, government bodies and EPC Contractors.
· Competent in the use of industry software.
· Competent in the evaluation of the condition of existing structures, including condition surveys and projected maintenance programs.
Job Specific Experience
Must have relevant design experience on a range of marine projects. Preference will be given to candidates with: Experience working in the Middle East
. Education
A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership preferable
