Become a part of our international dteq team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. For the next possible date we are looking for you in fulltime as Senior Transport Engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
Serving as the main contact person for unusual and more complex transport engineering requests for tendering and execution phases Management and leadership of project staff, in consultation with the operations manager Providing technical and engineering support to the team, advising staff as required Ensuring technical quality assurance in the application of technical standards and guidelines Creation and maintenance of technical standards (e.g. calculations, tools and templates) Specific planning and execution of overdimensional cargo and heavy lift moves across all transportation modes and handling types Carrying out customized route, port and site surveys, taking into account cargo details, means of transportation, infrastructure and local and international legislation Creation of procedural instructions Visualization of the entire process with the help of AutoCAD Carrying out heavy transport, heavy engineering and installation of customized mechanical and rigging constructions Drawing up feasibility studies, production drawings and other material calculations for lifting and rigging systems Provision of design drawings and calculations for clients Provision of project documentation, including technical drawings, calculations, ballast plans, feasibility studies and project correspondence Setting up and maintaining databases Supporting projects with technical and commercial proposals and presentations
What you can contribute:
An engineering background or completion of a similar technically orientated training course Excellent CAD skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, also internationally Your open-minded and dynamic personality Your ability to keep a cool head even under intense pressure Your client-oriented attitude, which helps you to easily build relationships with subcontractors and clients A deep understanding of quality, safety and health protection
Willingness to travel 20–25%
