About the job Software Support Engineer (POS)

Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Responsible for building .NET Core applications using .NET Core technologies for back-end.
  2. Interpret requirements to develop APIs and integrations using agile methodology.
  3. Responsible for UI design work for applications like POS systems and self-service kiosks.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and escalate to Level 3 support when necessary.
  5. Responding in a timely manner to service issues and customer requests either via phone, email, or chat until they're solved.
  6. Performing Windows Server administration & configuration.
  7. Provide high-level technical support to our clients, including troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware and software issues.
  8. Test, implement, and roll out new POS systems. Support all phases from planning to deploy of future releases of POS software and components.
  9. Configure and troubleshoot the POS setup. This includes printers, customer display, scanners, and mobile POS.
  10. Continually enhance and expand technical knowledge of the POS, external systems and tools utilized by the POS Team and Helpdesk.
  1. Quality assurance testing of new version of the POS and related software including both manually entered test cases and use of automated test tools.

Requirement:


  1. Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Min. 3 years' experience in .NET and C#.
  3. Advanced knowledge of how APIs work and understanding of Json and XML data formats.
  4. Experience in Java, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML 5.
  5. Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
  6. Good knowledge on POS (Point of Sale) or SCO (Self-Check-Out) system would be an added advantage.
  7. Experience dealing with Software POS Systems.
  8. Knowledge of remote access tools and other supportive technologies.
  9. Knowledge of external systems and payment gateways, and how they interact with the POS.
  10. Demonstrated ability to learn and experiment in future POS related technologies for activities like testing, evaluation, proof of concept.
