About the job STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer specializing in Onshore Oil & Gas Projects with strong experience in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and Detailed Engineering phases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on ADNOC Onshore projects and possess a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, international codes, standards, and engineering best practices.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Execute structural engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Design phases for onshore oil & gas facilities.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures in compliance with ADNOC and international standards.
  • Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, specifications, material requisitions, and engineering deliverables.
  • Design pipe racks, equipment support structures, compressor and pump foundations, substations, control buildings, platforms, and miscellaneous steel structures.
  • Perform foundation design and analysis for static and rotating equipment, storage tanks, vessels, and pipe support systems.
  • Conduct structural adequacy checks and assessments for brownfield modifications and facility upgrades.
  • Perform steel connection design, including bolted and welded connections, base plates, and anchor bolt systems.
  • Develop structural layouts, GA drawings, reinforcement details, and construction support documents.
  • Coordinate with Piping, Piping Stress, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines to ensure integrated design development.
  • Review vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documentation related to structural systems and equipment foundations.
  • Participate in design reviews, model reviews, constructability assessments, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Support construction, procurement, and commissioning teams by resolving technical queries and providing engineering solutions.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas engineering with a focus on Structural Design and Analysis.
  • Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Design phases of Onshore Oil & Gas projects.
  • Mandatory experience working on ADNOC Onshore projects.
  • Strong experience in steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, equipment foundations, pipe racks, and industrial buildings.
  • Experience in structural adequacy checks, brownfield modifications, and steel connection design.
  • Sound knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI, API, ASTM, ISO, and ADNOC engineering standards.
  • Proficiency in STAAD. Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, Foundation 3D, or equivalent structural analysis software.
  • Experience coordinating with Piping Stress, Mechanical, Civil, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Strong technical, communication, and coordination skills.
