A recruiter is seeking a Team Lead – Environmental Sustainability and GovernanceRoles & Responsibilities10-15 years’ experience in the environmental or sustainability field in-house corporate or for a large international consultancy firm.Masters degree in the fields of Environmental Management and Sustainability, or related subject matter is preferred.Additional certifications such as PMP, and environmental certifications.The role holder will play a pivotal role in implementing and overseeing Solutions Plus ESG Strategy working cross-functionally with all departments and units to ensure ESG aspects are integrated within internal procedures and external offerings to clients. The ESG Team Lead will also be required to proactively work with the Sales and Commercial team to on board new clients and activate potential new ESG offerings in collaboration with partners to ensure sustainable revenue.Internal Primary Relations: Strategy, Operations, Integrated Facility Management Secondary Relations: Other non-operational Departments across Solutions PlusExternal Governmental entities Mubadala Investment Company Mubadala Owned Companies Potential clients PartnersResponsibilities: Ensure organization wide implementation of the ESG strategy by working close with internal and external stakeholders. Plan and deliver awareness raising campaigns internally to build up the ESG culture within the organization. Develop an annual internal ESG report. Conduct networking events with stakeholders and potential clients to showcase best practices and seeking potential collaboration opportunity. Routinely liaise with and establish a strong foundation with Mubadala Investment Company (MIC) Responsible Investing team to provide services to other assets under MIC. Proactively engage with international start-ups to scan innovative sustainable technologies that could be rolled out to our clients. Engage with our partners and suppliers to ensure best-in class services are provided to clients. Activate new ESG Service offerings (such as managing the end-to-end Carbon Credits Process for clients) that will ensure sustainable financial return to the organization. Routinely update the ESG service catalogue as new service offerings are established and operationalized. Manage the relationship with MIC Responsible Investing team to provide exceptional decarbonization services to Mubadala assets and other clients. Ensure internal ESG material topics are reported on, data is gathered, and monitoring performance against targets set. Work to automate ESG reporting through on boarding an ESG tool that would automate data collection, reporting, and monitoring in collaboration with the Integrated Facility Management team. Prepare reports and presentations to senior management as required to report on progress. Work with internal communications team to deliver the ESG organizational messaging through platforms and networking events. Support the ESG manager on ad-hoc tasks when and as requested.Desired Candidate Profile: A four-year bachelor degree from an accredited university in the fields of Environmental Management and Sustainability, or related subject matter. Masters degree in the fields of Environmental Management and Sustainability, or related subject matter is preferred.Experience 10-15 years’ experience in the environmental or sustainability field in-house corporate or for a large international consultancy firm.Certifications,knowledge & SkillsProfessional Certifications Required The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, leadership ability, exceptional organizational habits, and strong interpersonal skills. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). The ideal candidate should also be aware and have sufficient knowledge of the following: – All UAE national strategies in place with respect to the environment and sustainability – Aware of local government plans in place with respect to the environment and sustainability – Understands the UAE’s agenda with respect to climate change – Knowledge on the key governmental, private, and public entities relevant to the environment. – Proven knowledge of carbon accounting and the GHG protocol – Awareness of global sustainability frameworks and best practice – Commercialization of ESG Services and clients attraction The ideal candidate will hold relevant sustainability certification or chartership through a recognized body.#OTHER#OTHER
