Job Description: Workshop Superintendent (Oil and Gas Fabrication Industry)

Salary: AED 15,000 - 20,000 per month

Role Overview: As the Workshop Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our fabrication workshop. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and craftsmen to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of fabrication projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workshop Management:
   • Oversee all activities within the fabrication workshop, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
   • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
   • Optimize workshop efficiency and productivity through effective planning and organization.
2. Team Leadership:
   • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of technicians, welders, fabricators, and other workshop personnel.
   • Provide guidance and support to employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
   • Conduct regular performance evaluations and training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
3. Project Coordination:
   • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to plan and execute fabrication projects according to client specifications and deadlines.
   • Monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or delays, taking proactive measures to address them effectively.
   • Ensure that all fabrication work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Resource Allocation:
   • Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project demands and optimize resource utilization.
   • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies for fabrication activities.
   • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock levels to minimize waste and maintain adequate supplies.
5. Health and Safety:
   • Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and best practices.
   • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
   • Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
6. Quality Assurance:
   • Implement quality control procedures to ensure that fabricated products meet industry standards and client requirements.
   • Conduct inspections and tests throughout the fabrication process to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
   • Document quality issues and non-conformities, and take corrective actions to address them promptly.
