Position Title: Material Inspector

JOB PURPOSE: 
    Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes within the Viet Nam Block B Gas Project in accordance with and meet the required quality standards and specification to deliver the Project in Safely, Quality, Schedule and Productivity
    To act as the Inspector to Manage and Responsible all type of materials inspection activities and relative other activities to structure, piping, equipment, pipeline works during procurement, pre-fabrication, fabrication, installation, hook-up and pre-commissioning of CPP/LQ, WHP/HUB.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Ensure implementation of the Company’s Quality Policies, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Quality Plans is to comply.
    Ensure that Project Quality specially materials/equipment from raw type up to compact packages to be implemented and complied with Project Specification, ITP, Procedures and National Regulation as well.
    Assist and support Package Engineers/Material Controller, Chief Inspector and QA/QC Lead to review and approve Contractor/Vendor’s fabrication Plan/Program and then monitor/witness activities to receipt/inspection, storage, preservation integrity, including handover in-out from store/warehouse to fabrication yard and installation works Site are in accordance with Project requirements. 
    Overall supervision and ensure that all activities inspection for coming in/out materials, equipment under controlled and follow up during onshore pre-fabrication, fabrication, assembly, installation, Load-out & Sea-fastening and offshore installation include HUC campaign that to be complied with latest AFC drawing, approved Procedure and Specification.
    Under direction of Chief Inspector, QA/QC Lead and QA/QC Manager to support other Inspector on their role and performance (including Contractor Inspectors and Third-Party Inspectors).
    Work closely with Contractor and Vendor to maintain the Project Quality Plan performance are within the KPI and ensure that all mating interfaces between fabrication and installation work.
    Interface, Communicate and Maintain close liaison with other Project Disciplines, Contractor, Vendor, Third Party for all relevant Activities.
    Participating in the issue of Site Issue and Non-conformance Report include Disposition or Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
    Review and analyze Project material/equipment documentation and relative inspection reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
    Maintains good relationships with Contractor and Vendor but being strict to achieve the Project objectives.
    As a member of QA/QC Team and report directly to QA/QC manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well.
    Perform other duties that are assigned by QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and Chief Inspector as well. 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
    Must hold a degree of Engineer in Mechanical/Civil, Construction or Equivalent.  
    Familiar with Quality Assurance & Quality Control Systems. 
    Must hold Valid Certificates: Material training course certificate 
    Others

Experience:
    Minimum of ten (10) years of professional working experience in the oil and gas industry, of which five (5) years of experience relevant to the role and responsibilities such as Material controller/Inspector or higher level, etc.
    Involved in at least three (3) WHP/CPP/LQP and Infield Pipelines as well as Engineering, Fabrication, Testing, Installation and Connection Support for both Contractors and Clients.

Specific Knowledge:
    Strong knowledge of material, construction, techniques, and equipment.
    Sound knowledge in and Conversant with International Codes and Standards such as AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISO., etc.
    Good sense of team spirit, workmanship, coordination and communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
    Good computer skills (PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point) and relevant software.  
    Good command in English (writing, listening and speaking)
