Key Accountabilities
  1. Overall Operations Management: The general manager oversees all aspects of the organization's operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes production, logistics, quality control, and customer service.
  2. Strategic Planning: Working closely with senior management, the general manager helps develop the company's long-term strategic goals and objectives. They translate these strategies into actionable plans and initiatives.
  3. Team leadership: They provide leadership and direction to department heads and other key personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment. This involves setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
  4. Financial Oversight: The general manager is typically responsible for financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. They ensure that the organization remains financially viable and achieves its financial targets.
  5. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks to the business is critical. The general manager assesses potential risks and develops strategies to minimize their impact, such as implementing robust internal controls and contingency plans.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
