The Team and Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Subscription Management – Research Services Team. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in managing our organization’s research subscriptions, ensuring efficient access to valuable resources and databases. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Subscription Management:
    • Administer and maintain research subscriptions, licenses, and access credentials.
    • Monitor subscription usage, track renewals, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
    • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely payments and compliance.
  • User Support:
    • Assist users in accessing subscription-based resources.
    • Troubleshoot access issues, provide training, and address user inquiries.
  • Vendor Relations:
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with subscription providers.
    • Evaluate new subscription offerings and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze usage data to optimize subscriptions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Prepare reports on subscription utilization and trends.
    • Data Mining from different online and offline resources using tools.
    • Professional experience in managing and maintaining large Data sets.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with research teams, IT, Legal and Finance to align subscription needs with organizational goals.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects related to research services.
    • Coordinate with Project team for D365 task and queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in subscription management, vendor relations, or a related role. Research experience would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with subscription databases (i.e. Capital IQ, Factiva, Pitchbook, ORBIS, Bloomberg etc.), library systems, and other research tools would be a plus.
  • Ability to analyze usage data, track trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across departments.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Comfortable working UK hours (01.30pm – 10.30pm IST/09.00am – 6.00pm BST)
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving research environment.
