Senior Estimator

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To Estimate the direct cost of work in tenders in his own area of specialization & assist in the preparation of bids for Company Projects.

JOB OBJECTIVES

1.         To take part in pre tender meeting and site visit with other discipline estimators.

2.         To study the scope of work in tenders from blueprints and other documentation and derive quantum of work in his own area of specialization.

3.         To invite quotations and offers & prepare technical comparison for all offers from Subcontractors and to select one of them.

4.         To clarify doubts in tenders through written communication with client for any missing information.

5.         To Prepare & Estimate man-hours, deployment schedules, equipments required & project schedule for the project by discussing with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or Construction Engineers.

6.         To review the tender with the Proposal coordinator for his area of specialization & ensure timely submission of the tender with all related technical & commercial inputs.

7.         To take part in the post tender review meeting with client, providing all clarification during post tender period.

8.         To prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors & sub-contractors
