Role Summary
Project Manager is responsible for managing project activities, tasks and resources on a day-to-day basis. Serve as primary project liaison with the malomatia client. Plan and report on project performance, ensure proper client engagement, stakeholder management, manage project scope, time, cost risks, issues and quality.
Responsibilities
Manage assigned projects under the direction of the project management head and program manager.
Manage, oversee and ensure the effective delivery of assigned projects.
Responsible for setting, monitoring and managing project budgets and cost
Advice on matters related to performance improvement, performance culture, change management, and quality improvement for the assigned projects.
Serve as primary project liaison with the project sponsor, and direct management of project activities, tasks and resources on a day to day basis.
Support the planning and management of project scope, activities, timeline, budget, deliverables and milestones.
Finalize and ensure quality and report to project management head and program manager on project status including work stream summary, dashboard and milestone reporting.
In coordination with project sponsors, and other impacted project stakeholders, define project objectives, goals, key tasks, timelines and resource requirements. Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts between project work streams or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
Liaise with internal audit and independent assurance reviewers and provision of required information to support internal audit enquiries and reviews.
Responsible for fostering a work environment that rewards high performing staff and fosters professional development and career advancement for top talent.
Facilitate the definition of service levels and requirements at a project level. Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders to determine their needs to develop plans for improving delivery.
Serve as a leading project manager for team members across multiple project work streams to achieve defined goals and objectives of the overall project.
Successfully manage multiple assignments and responsibilities while balancing priorities and providing timely communication to colleagues and stakeholders.
Manage the production of project deliverables with clear written communication, professional documentation, careful attention to detail, and high standards of excellence. Accountable for completing project milestones in line with approved project management standards.
Collaborate effectively and maximize utilization of project team to support project efforts.
In conjunction with the project management head and program manager, contribute to the development of the department annual plan, monitor and report on the plan’s execution. Participate in the development of the department annual plan.
Ensure quality of work outputs among all functions within the project.
Represent the assigned project and participate in relevant meetings.
Provide technical advice, inputs and recommendations to the project management head and program manager.
Oversee and lead special assignments as required.
Oversee and supervise the day-to-day operations of the project work team members.
Provide guidance to the project team members to ensure effective and efficient flow of work and ensure that all members recognize their fundamental role in the project and their contribution to achieving agreed upon targeted goals and objectives.
In conjunction with the Program Manager, contribute to HR key activities such as recruitment, manpower planning, training and development, employee engagement, etc.
Required Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree is preferred relevant to the project requirements (Computer Science, Information Technology or any relative fields)
Professional certificate (preferred) PRINCE2, PMP, PMI, APM etc.
Experience
Must have 9 - 10 years of professional experience in project management.
An understanding of the project topic and with sufficient demonstrated functional experience in the project subject (i.e. Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.).
In depth knowledge of working in a program or project office environment including familiarity with best practice project governance.
Experience in monitoring and maintaining Project Management processes within an organization.
Experience in risk, issue and change management.
Experience in completing quality assurance activities.
Experience in tracking project budgets and advanced use of Excel for project/program/portfolio cost and benefit analysis.
Behavioral
