Maintenance Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in managing heavy truck maintenance (bus maintenance is preferable).
• Technical understanding of electrical, mechanic and hydraulic systems for planning and troubleshooting
• Skills and Competencies
• Operating modern maintenance technology
• PMP is preferable.
• Communication and the ability to translate complex information
• ERP and Maintenance Management systems.
• Organizational skills for controlling maintenance tasks.
• Attention to details
• Lead the Maintenance Function to maximize fleet efficiency, profitability, and lifespan.
• Maintain close control with the maintenance service provider.
• Ensure safe, clean, reliable maintenance services and efficient bus performance.
• Manage all communications and performance of maintenance service providers.
• Develop and execute the strategic movement of maintenance services to be provided within the company (in-house).
• Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are in place and followed.
• Ensure proper tools and equipment are made available to employees so they can do their jobs safely and efficiently.
• Perform regular quality control checks on all maintenance aspects.
• Works closely with the Operations Manager to provide the status of maintenance and budget requirements.

Key selection criteria (absolute must haves): 

• Demonstrated experience in working with executive/senior management and leading large teams
• 10 + years of experience managing the maintenance function, including a minimum of 3 years of heavy transit vehicles maintenance field.
