Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance operations within our organization. They will lead a team of maintenance technicians and ensure that all facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in optimal condition to support our operations.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities (R&R):
- Lead the management of all repair and maintenance stations and services to maximize quality and reduce cost.
- Control Work standards, quality, safety, environment, policies, and procedures to support smooth operations.
- Analyze maintenance operations and fleet status to increase vehicles’ lifetime and ensure minimum malfunctions.
- Oversees repair orders and operational demands to ensure safe, clean, reliable, and efficient buses that meet their
- schedules and exceed customer expectations
- Ensure proper management of spare parts and warehouses to support time/cost efficiency for repairs, maintenance, inspection, bodywork, and all related functions.
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in managing heavy truck maintenance (bus maintenance is preferable).
- Technical understanding of electrical, mechanic and hydraulic systems for planning and troubleshooting
- Skills and Competencies
- Operating modern maintenance technology
- PMP is preferable.
- Communication and the ability to translate complex information
- ERP and Maintenance Management systems.
- Organizational skills for controlling maintenance tasks.
- Attention to details
- Lead the Maintenance Function to maximize fleet efficiency, profitability, and lifespan.
- Maintain close control with the maintenance service provider.
- Ensure safe, clean, reliable maintenance services and efficient bus performance.
- Manage all communications and performance of maintenance service providers.
- Develop and execute the strategic movement of maintenance services to be provided within the company (in-house).
- Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are in place and followed.
- Ensure proper tools and equipment are made available to employees so they can do their jobs safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular quality control checks on all maintenance aspects.
- Works closely with the Operations Manager to provide the status of maintenance and budget requirements.
Key selection criteria (absolute must haves):
- Demonstrated experience in working with executive/senior management and leading large teams
- 10 + years of experience managing the maintenance function, including a minimum of 3 years of heavy transit vehicles maintenance field.
