Define of schedule performance index

if you planned to finish80% of construction in6 months time, but  you actually managed to finish only60% work due to delays ,than what is the SPI in that case??

Schedule Performance Index (SPI) A measure of schedule efficiency on a project. It is the ratio of earned value (EV) to planned value (PV). SPI = EV divided by PV.

SPI = 60% /80%  =  .75  < 1  behind schedule.
