Data entry officers require general familiarity with the computer and its usage (on programs like MS-Office, MS-Visio and basic internet and emailing), plus the ability to type with a reasonably fast speed of say one hundred words/minute or more.

Data entry officers should be the most conversant with MS-Office suite. Apart from that different organizations require their data entry officers to have knowledge about certain specific packages. There they have to learn those skills as and when required.

Data Entry officer needs to be qualified and familiar with Microsoft Office programs especially,  as his job requires this basic skill because the data entry depends on these programs.

They would require keyboarding skills, proof reading skills, do-it-right-first time training, speed and and basically Ms office skills

Data entry requires typing speed as well as familiarity with software they are working on for efficiency. There are a lot of programs to help improve CPS and software familiarity can be achieved through repitition. Another thing that can be added are finger exercises to help improve productivitiy as well as put off any medical issues from prolonged typings.

the training they require which increase their work efficiency by making them relaxed and refreshed. Training should be given with adding games at middle of the training. How and when to take rest, how to exercise to reduce body ache, how to sit in front of system these are also should teach by professionals.

First of, it is good to learn and familiarise with various softwares/tool used for data entry like office excel, spss, among others. secondly, each type of data has a way to enter it, be it numerical data or text data. so its good to learn and get trained in theses.
