Believe  that  induction programme combines both class room training and on job training

class room training gives basic knowledge of  working environment and result will happen when he/she goes through on job training .Because  on job training gives legal and compliance for working environment and will enhance basic skills while working with peer group

This is predominately dependent on the time available for the employer to induct the employee into the working team. Personally, my style is to give some time for the classroom training before on-the-job training commences. Whenever the available time is very limited, little time is given to classroom training and vice versa. This is helpful because the classroom training could be used as reference when on-the-job training is ongoing thereby providing the employee with a better grasp of the tasks.

Induction must begin with a classroom training session and thereafter with follow-ups of on-job trainings on-site.

Classroom training gives basic knowledge on the work environment but on-job training gives hands on experience regarding the job, work environment etc

For successful induction training the proven approach is 'sandwich'.  Time in the workplace alternating with time in the classroom.   The number of 'layers' will depend on circumstances.

In general, use in-house trainers and facilities as much as possible.

Always remember the 'Training Trio'.

- Show them how to do it

- Help them do it themselves

- Supervise them doing it alone

Thanks for invitation,

For induction training, I do believe that it has to be started by "classroom training" and has to be followed by "on job training", especially for technical jobs.
