Usually we hear most Expats speak about Local Residents. I would like to hear feedback about the Expats. Please provide examples of either positive or negative experiences with Expats.
I'm not local, but have been wondering what I hear about the locals in uae and qatar. In my opinion the negativity and the prejudice is because of lack of knowledge. In my opinion, being negative towards the residents shows only disrespect. I have only positive experience of the locals.
The experience of interaction between local and expat community is generally harmonious and peaceful (Qatar and UAE). It is quite graceful and respectful in my organisations.
In my view, if we respect their cultures, traditions and be modest in our life style then there is no conflicts or controversies any where in the world.
I cant tell because this is the first time I look at this issue in this way.
In my opinion in work environment there is no different between locals or expats. I had many expats managers and I worked as a manager with many expats in the other side.
It is all about humanity and equality in rights and responsibilities.
By the way in my work foreigners talk about local political issues more than locals :) and it is acceptable and funny some times.
i worked with many peopel from Europe and India all of them have a good positive work they respect the time, instructions, human fators and they not speaking if they not know only speaking in things they know because all of them working in the field witch they learnd.
and also they have negative points like all people but limited because the co.s select the best so they working out side them conutry.
and i hope all arab people learining from them the respect of work and time and i hope the education be a specialist for eatch branch.
