They type of application that you have open will affect the system performance as a whole. Having e-mail open, a word document, pictures, is not as if you are streaming radio, a movie, running active virus scan. The later will add more overhead to the system performance. But USB3.0 at5Gbit/s (625 MB/s) will run faster than Firmware800 at800Mbps (100 MB/s).
