The Opportunity

This position will be based in Algeria and reporting to Regional HR Director- Turkey, North-West Africa, Egypt.

What You’ll Do

• Direct human resource (HR) programs to ensure the organization's current and future HR requirements are met. These programs may include recruitment, training, compensation/remuneration, benefits, performance evaluation, organizational development, relocation, equal employment/affirmative action, health, safety and wellness, human resources administration, human resource information systems, payroll, employee communications, employment/industrial/labor relations.
• Liaise with business leaders to develop and implement local HR strategies that are appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organization's overall HR strategy.
• Evaluate the organization's future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the HR strategy and adapt existing HR programs to meet these needs.

Required Qualifications

• University degree required.
• Min. 5 years HR experience in leadership HR role
• Advanced working knowledge of English, in addition a regional language is preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of HR practices and norms within the geography; with hands on experience in managing all HR aspects in a complex business environment across multiple locations.
• Ability to balance resources and priorities across geographies and businesses, with the capacity to translate business needs into a meaningful and actionable people strategy.
• Strong relationship management capability with business leaders in matrix environment.
• Experience in successfully managing labour relations with authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Strong emotional intelligence and leadership presence.
