About the role:
Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria is looking for a cook who can prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner food items per guest ordersin accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
What will you do :
1. Prepare food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
2. Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not prepare beyond estimated needs.
3. The ability to go through the chillers and freezers to check the cleanliness.
4. The ability to help the Demi Chef and the Chef de Partie in preparing daily requisitions and mise en place for the next day.
5. The ability to receive daily dry store, vegetables, meats, and to store it properly.
6. The ability to be responsible for Demi Chef duties in his absence.
What will you bring:
1.High school education, cooking school, culinary institute education, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum two years as commisrelated work experience.
3. Advanced culinary knowledge is expected for this position.
4. Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food
5. Processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill. Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task.
