As an Estimating Manager your will lead the Eastern Region Construction Estimating team with client interface and negotiation processes. You will assist in delivering the wider strategy within the region. Day to day you will also:
Lead the tender estimating process and ensure quality submissions to enhance successful tender outcomes; Utilise current market conditions and knowledge of pricing, industry trends and changes to ensure accurate and on time tendering; Identify risks and opportunities within the tendering process, ensuring the impact on the tender price is documented and quantified; Utilise operational understanding to problem solve whilst providing “best value” tender responses; Identify potential commercial advantages, opportunities and problems in the tendering process and communicating findings with relevant stakeholders; Assisting with progress claims, project reviews and external variations as required; Mentor and develop a team of estimators; Liaise with live projects to ensure you have an up to date view of current costs; Work with the Commercial Manager to review, negotiate and finalise commercial needs which include but are not limited to subcontracts.

How you’ll connect to the role:



To be successful in this role you will have a solid understanding of first principles of estimating including the use of Expert Genesis. You will have experience in developing and leading teams in line with company strategies. You will also the ability to understand operational needs to ensure they are conveyed and problem solved if required in the tender process. Ideally you will be self-motivated, goal orientated with strong team work skills and a 'can do' attitude.
