Job Description

Amazon aims to offer the largest selection to our customers. Expanding selection is therefore a key element of providing the best customer experience to our customers. The Head of Selection & Inventory leader is responsible for improving Egypt performance in this area, collaborating with internal teams – local and international to drive insights and implement cross-functional initiatives. This role will have high leadership visibility and will own, develop and deliver on a roadmap that increases and avails the best possible Selection for Egyptian customers. Additionally this role will oversee the Retail Inventory health and rollout of the various automation features that facilitate the day-to-day inventory management. This also encompasses ownership of physical FC capacity planning and optimization against business priorities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong data analytics skills, ability to solve tough business problems, drive difficult discussions and seek commitment from Leaders, and define innovative ways to use technology at scale.
Key job responsibilities
1. Coordinate priorities and projects with central teams, external data providers, and business teams to identify and offer relevant selection to customers;
2. Own the selection funnel, identifying scalable initiatives to move selection from listing to sale;
3. Ensure the various inventory metrics are healthy and in line with country goals
4. Develop comprehensive mechanisms to drive and capture Retail actions on missing selection;
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive inventory optimization, and adoption to automation of OIH tools
6. Provide weekly reporting/bridge on selection & inventory performance across RT;
7. Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with senior leadership, presenting results, challenges and driving meaningful discussions to solve problems around selection;
8. Work with global counterparts to create and implement EG Stores level Selection & Inventory strategy

Cairo, EGY
- 7+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- 7+ years of with Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
