Majid Al Futtaim offers a full-time opportunity and announces its need for a Chef-Delicatessen to share in making Great Moments for Everyone, Every day. You will lead and supervise the quality and quantity of the food offered, coordinating the production as it relates to the Central Kitchen, You will also work for the timely and efficient preparation of all departmental-section food items according to the specifications, recipes, and customer requirements.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Monitor portion control and waste to optimize costs, actively promoting awareness on waste material usage and efficiency. Train and communicate with staff on products, processes, menus, ingredients, and equipment in the operational area regularly. Propose, define, and implement proactive cost reduction measures, serving as a bridge between seniors and the team for issue/idea cascade and escalation. Audit food storeroom items to maintain consistent quality products. Adhere to and apply all applicable systems and procedures in accordance with company policies. Enforce strict health and hygiene standards in the workplace.

Degree in Hotel Management or any relevant field. 3+ years of experience, at restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or any related food service operations. Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation. Strong communication skills. Good Level of English.
