About the job Localization Operation Manager
Responsibilities:
- Localization Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive localization strategy aligned with business objectives, market requirements, and industry best practices.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee localization projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of localization professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external localization vendors, ensuring effective communication, performance management, and adherence to quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and enhance localization workflows, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations, adhering to established quality standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, content creators, engineers, and linguists, to ensure seamless integration of localized content into our products and services.
- Budget Management: Manage the localization budget, including cost estimation, tracking, and optimization, while ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate localization performance metrics, identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on localization industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and implement relevant advancements to enhance localization operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Localization, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in localization project management and operations, preferably in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of localization processes, best practices, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in using localization tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
