The Logistics Coordinator is based in Cairo, Egypt, and has the responsibility to follow customs clearance documents of import/export shipments and marine fleet (owned by Subsea7 and hired).
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of Subsea7 processes related to logistics while being knowledgeable for the specifics associated with Logistics operations in Egypt.

Location: Abu Qir- Egypt



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Liaise closely with Client and Agent personnel to ensure efficient scope execution Develop a good working relationship with local Authorities, Clients, Project Teams and Agent personnel. Maintain good recording of shipments details and filling of all project logistics documents and keep the project shipments file updated and complete. Liaise with Clients to follow-up, expedite required customs declaration, licenses & permits, Coordination in a timely manner, for the on-shore & Offshore project’s activities Liaise with relevant Authorities, (Ministers, Navy, Air Force, Environmental Affairs, shore protection Authorities, Intelligence Affairs, GAFI, NTRA, EGPC, EGAS, Civil Aviation etc…) for any coordination, permits & Licenses required for the on-shore or offshore Having a good understanding of the Egyptian Customs rules, applicable to all Imports / Exports, including marine units & goods involved in the project’s activities and provide the correct details & recommendations to the Logistic support Monitor in-country changes in Shipping laws and practices and advise function/project team of any change identified in access and / or permit requirements that could affect logistics activities. Necessary support to any other duties/assignment as required.

REQUIREMENTS



Experience interfacing directly between Client, EGAS, EGPC , Other official authorities, marine and freight forwarding agencies, shipping lines and transportation companies, and Project team management. Ability to work well in a team. Have a clear understanding of the industry processes and knowledge of how to handle common obstructions with clear solutions. Have a strong multi-tasking skill, and good following up and archiving skills.

QUALIFICATIONS



Graduate / Diploma holder or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of similar operational logistics work. Ability to perform well under pressure with tight schedule. Ability to react to and support operations with 24/7 support activity. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to collaborate in multi-cultural environment. Flexible with regards to ad hoc travel. Able to work independently
