Release Management Team Head

JOB PURPOSE: 
To manage release management team in the introduction of new CIB services. Make sure of moving it from the non-production phase to be a production service. Lead the team to follow applied policies and procedure and make sure of teams coordination and knowledge transfer for the IT operations teams. Participate in IT projects and the focal point of the IT operations in the project implementation team 
Description
Production Delivery 
1.Review the BAU Operational guides created by release management officer ensuring the needed technical training was conducted properly.
2.Oversee project technical tasks related to all new projects and report any risks that may affect the project deliverables.
3.Make sure that delivery team following applied policies and procedure, preparing and consolidating new projects documentation and Maintain track of all releases that are to be implemented and that have been implemented.
4.Validate the provided comments by the release management officer then share it with the concerned team/s and revise the projects plan, testing plan creating the needed resource profiling accordingly
5.Provide final deployment guides & technical documents to the Application & Infrastructure Deployment teams.
6.Interface and communicate with IT concerned stakeholders (Testing team, IT Application Management teams, IT Infrastructure teams, PMO, System Development, etc.) on a daily basis and keep track of multiple project release timelines.
7.Liaise and manage the Release process with the Quality Assurance team.
8.Create release plans ,provide timelines for release build, test and production deployment.
9. Review all the release and change collaterals (change requests, release plans, build and test plans, deployment plans, etc.) and make sure that all comments have been rectified before the production deployment phase.
10.Manage and supervise the running activities on Preprod environments ensuring there’s no conflict between the running projects

11.Implement approved department policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
Day- to-day operations
12.Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the IT Operations department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Supervision
13.Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures
Compliance:
14.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks

Qualifications & Experience:
    Minimum 6-8 years of IT Operations experience 
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or its equivalent
    Very Good hands-on knowledge of IT technical knowledge  
    Very Good knowledge of database & middleware.
